Sciton® Forever Clear™

What is Sciton® Forever Clear™?

Sciton® Forever Clear™ is a broadband light (BBL) treatment designed to eliminate acne and acne scars using the power of light. It uses the power of blue light to treat acne deep within the skin. Blue light actually kills the bacteria that causes acne, as well as reduces inflammation. This treatment can be used to target acne on many areas of the body, including the face, neck, and back.

Overall, this treatment can help you achieve:

  • More even skin tone.
  • Less noticeable pores.
  • Reduction in active acne and future acne outbreaks.
  • Softening of acne scarring.

The Sciton® Forever Clear™ Treatment

A cooling gel will first be applied to the skin, and you will be given protective eyewear to put on. Because this treatment is non-invasive and generally well-tolerated, a topical anesthetic is not usually necessary. The handpiece will be passed along the skin using three different filters. The first pass uses a blue filter to destroy acne-causing bacteria. Then, a yellow filter is used to reduce redness and decrease the visible appearance of acne lesions deeper in the skin. Lastly, a third infra-red filter is used to stimulate the body’s natural healing process and reduce oil production in acne-prone areas. Treatment is quick, taking as little as 15 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the targeted area.

Sciton® Forever Clear™ Results

After your Forever Clear™ treatment, you may experience some slight redness which should dissipate over the next few hours. There is no downtime required, though we recommend that you avoid direct sun exposure, strenuous exercise, and alcohol consumption for 24 hours after treatment. Also, wear sunscreen if spending time outdoors. We will provide you with specific aftercare instructions to ensure you receive the best results. Patients can see an improvement after just one treatment, though a series of treatments may be needed depending on your individual goals.
