What is the Smart TCA Peel?

The Smart TCA Peel by SkinCeuticals significantly improves the look of wrinkles, fine lines, large pores, skin laxity, and skin discoloration. It is ideal for dry, normal, oily, and combination skin types to help improve your overall complexion. It contains trichloroacetic acid (TCA), which is the gold-standard ingredient for chemical peeling, along with glycolic acid for glowing skin.  

This peel offers many benefits, including: 

• Exfoliates the skin to improve skin texture. 
• Combats signs of aging, including fine lines and wrinkles, skin laxity, discoloration, and large pores.

Who Can Benefit from the Smart TCA Peel?

Individuals who are looking to improve the look and feel of their skin and combat signs of aging can often benefit from this peel. However, it is not recommended for those with active skin infections or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. The Smart TCA Peel Treatment

First, the skin is cleansed and prepped. The first layer of the peel is applied to the face, chest, and neck. Frosting (when parts of your skin turn white during a chemical peel) may occur when the surface of the skin is exfoliated away by the peel solution. A second layer of the peel is then applied to the areas that have not frosted. The peeling solution will then be removed with cold water and gauze. After the peel, we apply the Smart TCA Restorative Masque to moisturize and protect your skin. Overall, this treatment usually takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Smart TCA Peel Results

Following your peel, you may experience redness, irritation, and skin flaking. Most people experience peeling for the next 5-7 days, after which you can enjoy a fresh, glowing complexion. Normal activities can usually be resumed after one week, though you should avoid sun exposure and extensive exercise until your skin is fully healed. For the best results, we recommend a series of three treatments every four weeks.
