Juvederm® Voluma XC
The natural aging process brings with it lines, wrinkles, and youthful volume loss, making you appear older and more tired than you may feel. Juvéderm® Voluma XC is a hyaluronic-acid-based filler designed to add volume beneath the skin’s surface, contouring and lifting the cheek area and augmenting the chin region for improved shape and definition. Formulated using VYCROSS® technology, this filler is sturdier than others for longer-lasting results and less swelling.
This filler can improve the following areas:
- Age-related midface volume loss.
- Chin profile.

Adults over 21 who are looking to correct age-related volume loss in the midface or augment the chin region can benefit from this filler. A consultation appointment is needed to determine if you are a good candidate for this treatment option. Those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of severe keloid scarring should not receive this treatment.
To begin your Voluma treatment, your skilled injector will first determine which areas should be injected for the best results, and then your skin will be cleansed. Juvéderm® Voluma XC contains lidocaine to help minimize discomfort during injection, though we will also offer a topical numbing cream. The filler will then be injected into the targeted areas using a fine syringe. Treatment can take anywhere from 20-60 minutes depending on the amount of change desired.

There is little to no recovery time needed following Voluma injections, so you can return to work or your normal routine right away. However, be sure to avoid rubbing or applying pressure to the treatment area, as well as consuming alcohol, partaking in strenuous exercise, or spending time in the sun for 2 hours after injection. While some improvement may be seen immediately after treatment, improvements will continue for the next two weeks. This filler can last up to one year in the chin and up to two years in the mid-face region.
For more information about Juvéderm® Voluma XC and how it can help you achieve your anti-aging goals, contact SkinCeuticals SkinLab™ by Plastic Surgery Associates today.
