  • Acne.
  • Melasma.
  • Hyperpigmentation.

Who Can Benefit from the VI Peel?

Individuals who are looking to improve their complexion and combat pesky signs of aging can benefit from the VI peel. This treatment is safe for all skin tones and ethnicities. However, you should not receive a chemical peel if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active infection in the treatment site, or have been diagnosed with a pigmentation disorder. Please contact our Grand Rapids, MI office today to schedule a consultation to determine if you are a good candidate.

The VI Peel Treatment

Your VI peel treatment will begin with your practitioner cleansing your skin. Then, the VI peel solution will be applied. It is normal to feel some tingling or numbness once the peel solution is on. Then, a second layer will be applied, after which your skin will frost, or turn white. You will leave our office with the peel solution still on your skin, and 4-6 hours later you will wash it off. This peel usually takes about 30-45 minutes to complete.

For the best results, it is recommended that you receive a series of four VI Peels, each spaced three weeks apart. However, this may differ depending on the skin condition that you wish to treat.

VI Peel Results

Following your treatment, there is no downtime needed, so you can return to your regular activities as soon as you wish. However, we do recommend that you avoid strenuous exercise and sun exposure for the first 24-48 hours for the best results. Our team will provide you with specific skincare instructions for the best outcomes, which may include using specific products sent home with you. You can expect to experience skin peeling about three days after your peel treatment, which can last up to seven days. Your skin should be fully healed after about two weeks, after which you can enjoy smoother, more even skin!
