Juvederm® Vollure

What is Juvéderm® Vollure?

Over time, our skin loses collagen and elastin, which are important for keeping our skin looking youthful. This can lead to unwanted wrinkles and folds to develop, making us look older than we feel. Juvéderm® Vollure is an injectable filler created to soften the look of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Created with hyaluronic acid, it works by binding moisture under the skin, smoothing out unwanted lines and wrinkles. This filler was also created using VYCROSS® technology, which makes the formula more stable, causes less swelling, and prolongs results.

Juvéderm® Vollure is specifically designed to address:

  • Nasolabial folds.
  • Parenthesis around the mouth.

Who Can Benefit from Juvéderm® Vollure?

Adults 21 years and older who wish to combat lines and wrinkles can often benefit from Juvéderm® Vollure. However, you should not receive this treatment if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a history of keloid scarring, have been diagnosed with pigmentation disorders. The best way to determine if this treatment is a good match for your goals is to schedule a consultation appointment today.

The Juvéderm® Vollure Treatment

Your filler appointment will begin with your injector speaking with you regarding which areas require filler. These areas will then be cleansed and a topical numbing cream applied to the area to ensure you are comfortable during the injection. A very fine needle will then be used to artfully inject the filler into the lines and folds around your mouth. Treatment can take anywhere from 20-60 minutes depending on the amount of change desired.

Juvéderm® Vollure Results

After your Juvéderm® Vollure appointment, you may experience temporary redness, swelling, itching, or bruising at the injection sites. Ice packs can often help with swelling. There is no downtime needed, so you can return to your normal activities as soon as possible. We do, however, advise that you refrain from strenuous exercise, heat and sun exposure, and alcohol consumption for 24 hours post-treatment for the best outcomes. This filler lasts up to 18 months.
