Exosomes

What Are Exosomes?

You might have heard about the Vampire facial or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy popularized by Kim Kardashian. Exosomes are the new and improved PRP because they contain all the benefits and more without patients having to undergo a blood draw. Unlike stem cell therapy, exosomes are derived from donated mesenchymal stem cells instead of your own donor cells. This means patients do not have to undergo a blood draw.

In the body, exosomes are naturally responsible for cell communication, protein and RHA exchange, wound healing, and tissue repair. The Exosome Complex used for aesthetic treatment contains a blend of growth factors, peptides, amino acids, vitamins, enzymes, and nourishing humectants. When applied topically to the skin, exosomes encourage tissue regeneration of healthy skin cells that resurface the skin and combat signs of skin aging. They also promote collagen and elastin production to replace collagen that has been lost due to natural aging. For the hair, exosomes encourage the hair follicles to enter the active growth phase and grow new, healthier hair.

Conditions that can be treated with exosomes include:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Dull or dehydrated skin
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Uneven skin tone and texture
  • Acne scars
  • Thinning hair or damaged hair follicles

Who Can Benefit from Exosomes?

Almost all healthy adults who want to improve age-related skin conditions can benefit from exosome treatment. Exosomes can be applied alone to maintain healthy skin or used in combination with laser resurfacing, microneedling, radiofrequency microneedling, or chemical peels. Combining an exosome facial with minimally invasive treatments is especially beneficial for deeper skin concerns. Microneedling and laser treatments create microchannels in the skin that allow exosomes to penetrate the deep dermal layers, renewing healthy skin from the inside out. Along with these enhanced results, you can enjoy a faster recovery process!

The Exosome Procedure

Exosome treatments are completely non-invasive and relaxing. The Exosome Complex will be massaged into your skin and/or scalp by your skincare specialists. A full-face treatment takes less than 30 minutes. Exosomes can also be used with a laser treatment to reach the deeper skin layers. Anti-inflammatory properties from the antioxidants in exosomes also soothe skin irritation and boost the skin rejuvenating benefits of your treatment.

Exosome Results

Patients can return to work or other daily activities immediately after exosome treatment. Laser treatment used in combination with exosome therapy might require a short downtime. For skin rejuvenation, patients will immediately see a glowing complexion and improvements in the quality of their skin. Results can be improved with additional treatments. The results for hair restoration will take about 5 treatments to be noticeable. Significant hair growth of healthier, fuller hair can be seen after 10 treatments.
