Daxxify®

What is Daxxify®?

Daxxify is an FDA–approved botulinum toxin A injectable used to treat frown lines. It utilizes a unique peptide-powered formulation that stabilizes the active ingredient in the product meaning it can last up to twice as long as other neurotoxin injectables. Daxxify® also stands out in the lineup of botulinum toxin A injections because of the fact that it is the only prescription frown line treatment made in the United States. It was first created in Silicon Valley and is still manufactured there to this day.

Daxxify® Treatment

Prior to receiving Daxxify® injections, you will have a consultation at SkinCeuticals SkinLab™ to discuss your skin concerns and the goals of your treatment. We will also review your medical history to determine if you are a viable candidate for Daxxify®

Once the skin has been cleansed, Daxxify® will be injected into the muscles under the skin using a fine gauge needle. It should not hurt, and most patients report only feeling a small pinch. If you are at all worried about being uncomfortable during the procedure, your provider can apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area before injecting. Depending on the treatment area, Daxxify® injections can be done in as little as 15-20 minutes.

Daxxify® Results

After your Daxxify® treatment you may experience some mild redness, tenderness, and swelling, but this should resolve over the next day. You will want to avoid any strenuous activities as well as overexposure to the sun. For 5-6 hours following treatment, you cannot lay directly on the treatment site as this can cause product migration. It can take as little as two days to see the results of Daxxify® and they can last from 6-9 months.
